Custom Sizes or Special Orders:

Can I customize the size if I don’t see what I need on the website?
Yes, sometimes an image can be cropped to a specific size. However, most of the time a crop removes key elements of the photograph. I will be happy to work with you to find a good balance while still maintaining the artistic vision.

Do you have anything smaller than what is offered on the website?
Yes, I will be happy to send you an individual quote. Just let me know what you are looking for.

Do you sell digital images that I can get printed somewhere else?
Yes However, these would be portrait images. But I also suggest using one of the professional labs that I use for the best quality of your image.

Do you sell digital images to use for my website? -Sometimes, but it is very limited. Because my images are intended to be used as fine art; only some images are available for website use. Images are at a lower resolution than the original and cannot be printed for sale as art by the purchaser. Photographer reserves the right to decline the use of an image. Please contact me for more information.

What is mounting?
To preserve the life of your art, we highly recommend that you have your photos professionally mounted to a rigid backing to protect it from bending or wrinkling and to properly prepare it for framing. The dry-mount process is a common method of adhering photographs to a rigid backing because it is inexpensive, easy, and elegant. The process uses heat activated adhesive tissue sandwiched between the photograph and a stiff backing board. Over time, the paper of an unmounted photo can develop waves due to humidity levels in the air. (This is most noticeable in the larger prints.) Eventually other methods of mounting can fail and your photo could come lose from the backboard and drop within the framing. Most framers will offer mounting services. Dry-mounting is considered an irreversible mounting technique which will give your art piece a lifetime of enjoyment.

Can I purchase a framed item?
Yes. This is an additional service and subject to availability of frame options. Artist will honor requests for frame type, color & width options, as well as mat colors. I work with a number of art framers so please allow extra time for these professionals to complete the project. Custom framed items are not returnable. Please contact us for a quote.

What are copyrights?
Copyright describes the rights given to creators for their literary and artistic works. Copyright is a property right. Purchasing a print does not mean you have purchased the copyright. Under the Federal Copyright Act of 1976, photographs are protected by copyright from the moment of creation. Photographers have the exclusive right to reproduce their photographs (right to control the making of copies). Unless you have permission from the photographer, you can’t copy, distribute (no scanning and sending them to others), publicly display (no putting them online), or create derivative works from photographs. Professional photographers are dependent on their ability to control the reproduction of the photographs they create. It affects their income and the livelihood of their families. Even small levels of infringement — copying a photo without permission — can have a devastating impact on a photographer’s ability to make a living. Copyright infringements — reproducing photos without permission—can result in civil and criminal penalties.
